1. Introduction

1.1 We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our website visitors and service users.

1.2 This policy applies where we are acting as a data controller with respect to the personal data of our website visitors and service users; in other words, where we determine the purposes and means of the processing of that personal data.

1.3 Our website incorporates privacy controls which affect how we will process your personal data. By using the privacy controls, you can specify whether you would like to receive direct marketing communications and limit the publication of your information. You can access the privacy controls via [URL to cookie screen].

1.4 In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the project consortium of the Trans-PED project. For more information about us, see Section 6.

2. How we use your personal data

2.1 We may process data about your use of our website and services (“usage data”). The usage data may include your geographical location, browser type and version, operating system, referral source, length of visit, page views and website navigation paths, as well as information about the timing, frequency and pattern of your service use. The source of the usage data is our analytics tracking system. This usage data may be processed for the purposes of analysing the use of the website and services. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interests, namely monitoring and improving our website and services.

2.2 We process personal data related to data subjects in order to send newsletters to people who have actively signed up to receive them. The personal data that we process include name and e-mail address of the data subject. Recipients can unsubscribe by using the link included in each newsletter. The legal basis for our processing is consent from the data subject. We use ActiveCampaign as a data processor to manage e-mail addresses and send out our newsletter. It is ActiveCampaign that operates the database where the information is stored, and ActiveCampaign also collects information about the device you are using, links that are clicked on and other statistics about how the newsletter is read.

Please do not supply any other person’s personal data to us.

3. Terms of consent

3.1 If you enter your name and e-mail address and click on the Sign Up button, you give your consent to receive newsletters from Trans-PED.

3.2 You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you wish to withdraw your consent, you can do so by using the link included in each newsletter or by sending us an e-mail to the main address indicated in the contact section. When the consent is withdrawn, we will delete your personal information. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

4. Retaining and deleting personal data

4.1 Personal data related to our newsletter recipients is stored until the recipient withdraws the consent or the newsletter service has been discontinued. When the consent is withdrawn, we will delete the personal data related to the recipient.

4.2 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section 4, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

5. Your rights

5.1 At any time, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data you have provided to us when signing up for the newsletter. This will actively remove you from the distribution list and you will no longer receive the newsletters.
